Cercartetus nanus

To the author's knowledge, the following is the only information bearing on hybridization in this family:

Cercartetus concinnus [Western Pygmy Possum]
× Cercartetus nanus [Eastern Pygmy Possum] These possums have a parapatric contact zone near Adelaide (southeastern Australia). Parapatric contact zones are often a sign of hybridization detected before hybridization itself is actually detected, but the author has not as yet encountered any explicit report of hybridization. Smith and Hume 1984 (p. 583).
